Welcome to WaTchers: The Virtual Series!

Five Years..120 Episodes...Not Too Shabby...

Each Watchers season contained 24 episodes that began in September 2002 with our final episode airing June 2008.

We don't create new episodes any longer (and we have no plans to start again so please don't ask). We're sure once you see everything we put into these episodes, thanks to many talented people over the years, you might understand - it's a lot of time consuming work.  However, if our fans decide to stick around we're happy to consider the prospects of TV movies now and then.

When Horatio Tyrell joined the Command Council, he was the youngest Watcher ever to be elevated to the rank of Councilor. Now in his third decade in the Command Council, Tyrell has reached the pinnacle of leadership within the Council: the position of Chairman. He has found the achievement less than satisfying.

Unhappy with the governing structure of the Council and hungering for more personal power, Tyrell, along with a handful of his fellow High Commanders, devised a scheme to overthrow and disband the current Council. Their plan was to resurrect the Initiative's 314 Project and create a demon army made up of enslaved and enhanced vampires. Their initial research was conducted in Cleveland, but the project's final stage was set to take place in a heavily- fortified facility in the ruins of Sunnydale. Unfortunately for Tyrell, one of 314's Cleveland prototypes escaped and was captured. When it was brought in for examination, it came to the attention of Councilor Sebastian Giles, who requested the aid of his friend and protégé, Colonel Jocasta Rosenberg. Together, with the help of Katherine Allison, the Slayer who originally captured the enhanced vampire, they set about solving the mystery of 314.

Tyrell, however, had already arranged to have every reference to 314 removed from all of the Council's archives and databases -- all but one, that is: the Progenitor File, a neural networked database made up of the journals and libraries of Willow Rosenberg. Knowing that this restricted database was their only hope, Giles and Jocasta and Katherine broke into the Progenitor Room. There, thanks to the Willowgram, the holographic personality interface of the system, they gained access to the information they needed: what 314's ultimate goal was and how it was going to be carried out. Tyrell found them there and attempted to arrest them, but Katherine was able to overcome the Chairman and his guards. Giles, Jocasta, and Katherine managed to escape, but failed to stop Tyrell from spiriting away the only physical evidence they had, the body of the captured vampire. Using additional information provided by the Willowgram, Giles and company assembled an attack force and took out the Sunnydale facility before Tyrell was able to launch his demon army. Tyrell's accomplice, Sean Rayne, was captured in Sunnydale, but Tyrell himself, naturally, was nowhere near the scene of the crime.

With both the electronic paper trail and the physical evidence in Sunnydale completely destroyed, Tyrell and his fellow High Commanders are back to business as usual in the Council... until Giles returns from California. Now the real battle is set to be fought-within the Council itself. With his years of experience in the Council, Tyrell will prove to be a formidable enemy. He excels at all things political, from innocuous schmoozing to outright corruption and abuse of power. He is a master of secrets and is arrogant to a fault, but underneath his calm and in-control exterior lies a dangerous rage, which should not be underestimated.
