Welcome to WaTchers: The Virtual Series!

Five Years..120 Episodes...Not Too Shabby...

Each Watchers season contained 24 episodes that began in September 2002 with our final episode airing June 2008.

We don't create new episodes any longer (and we have no plans to start again so please don't ask). We're sure once you see everything we put into these episodes, thanks to many talented people over the years, you might understand - it's a lot of time consuming work.  However, if our fans decide to stick around we're happy to consider the prospects of TV movies now and then.

The Willowgram is the holographic personality construct of the Progenitor File, a neural networked database consisting of the diaries, journals, libraries, and research of the New Council's original co- founder, Willow Rosenberg. The Progenitor File is housed in the Progenitor Chamber on the fortieth floor of the Council Tower, and access is restricted to the Chairman of the Council and to genetic descendants of Willow Rosenberg.

When Giles and Jocasta were following their 314 lead on the cybernetic-vampire Katherine had captured, they found that the High Command had removed all relevant files. Consequently, they turned to James for access to the Progenitor File. After James reluctantly agreed, Giles and Jocasta and Katherine headed to the fortieth level conference room and waited. When the holographic Willow appeared, she refused to share any information with them. However, after Jocasta passed a DNA scan and proved that she was a genetic descendant of Willow Rosenberg, the Willowgram was more than happy to help. She told the trio about the original Initiative 314 Project and even tracked the transport of the cyber-vamp to Sunnydale, California.

Before she could tell them more, Chairman Tyrell and a pair of guards interrupted. Tyrell ordered the Willowgram to deactivate, but she refused and instead told Giles and company the true purpose of Tyrell's demon army: to disband the Command Council. When Tyrell shot at the hologram's projection system, Katherine seized the opportunity and took out Tyrell and his guards. Willow downloaded herself into her mobile processor so that she could accompany the trio when they fled the Council headquarters.

Once safely away from the Council, Giles recalled Willow from her mobile unit. She gave further details about Tyrell's resurrected 314 project and made a recommendation for achieving its destruction. Thanks to the help of the Willowgram, Giles and his allies were indeed able to thwart the High Command's scheme. When Giles and Jocasta returned from Sunnydale, they immediately returned Willow to her place in the Progenitor Chamber, hoping to avoid any disciplinary action.

As a holographic being, the Willowgram is incorporeal. Her appearance often varies. When operating within the Progenitor Chamber, she appears life-sized, but when operating from her mobile unit, she appears as a scaled-down, twelve-inch version of herself. She is also able to appear as various versions of Willow Rosenberg, depending on which set of images the Willowgram chooses to access. Personality-wise, Willow is very much like her biological ancestor: smart, funny, friendly, cheerful, and eager to please.
